Join Jerome Rand at Bitter End for an immersive experience into solo and offshore sailing from March 18th to April 1st.
Introduced to the Bitter End Yacht Club during a trip to the BVI, a nine-year stint followed at the watersports center. During the his years at BEYC, a long-held dream of solo, nonstop circumnavigation took shape, leading to the purchase and modification of a Westsail 32 named “Mighty Sparrow.” Setting sail from Gloucester, Massachusetts, in October 2017, Jerome Rand embarked on a 271-day journey, enduring hurricanes in the Atlantic before navigating the Southern Ocean and the Five Great Capes. Returning to Gloucester after covering 29,807 miles, the voyage tested mental and physical limits, ultimately relying on perseverance and luck to conquer some of the world’s most treacherous seas.
