The best routes to get to Bitter End are to fly into San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Virgin Gorda or Tortola. You can fly into Tortola’s Beef Island airport (booking code = EIS) and then take a private ferry for a 30-minute scenic trip direct to Bitter End’s dock—where a cool towel, cold beverage and a warm Caribbean smile awaits. Please be sure that we have your flight information at least two weeks prior to your arrival so that we can arrange for your boat transfer.

Visitors from some countries may also require a visa for entry. If in doubt about needing a visa, contact the nearest BVI Tourist Board Office or the nearest British Embassy. Major carriers to the region include American, Delta, United, Continental, Jet Blue, Air Canada and Norwegian Air. Flights can be connected with inter-island flights or ferries, as listed below. While flying into Tortola is the most direct route, flights to St. Thomas and San Juan with connectors are also great choices. Our guests travel to Bitter End via St. Thomas, St. Martin, Antigua and San Juan.

Private Charter from Tortola to Bitter End
Once you arrive at Tortola (EIS) we will then assist with luggage and provide a 5- minute transfer to our private boat launch at Trellis Bay which is a 30-minute journey to Bitter End at a cost of $415 one way. Please note that this will be charged to your guest account.
Public Ferry to BEYC
Public ferry service is available from Trellis Bay to Spanish Town Virgin Gorda (30 minutes). Once you’ve arrived, we will arrange a taxi pick up to take you to Gun Creek (15 minutes), where you will then take our complimentary ferry to Bitter End (7 minutes).

If you plan to exit and then re-enter the British Virgin Islands during your sailing vacation, please be certain to follow the proper procedures for clearing your yacht and crew with both BVI Customs and Immigration.

Your captain may clear all crew, provided he or she has all of the required documentation. This includes valid passports for each crewmember as well as ship’s documentation.
