Our Club Fleet

The pride of Bitter End.

Bitter End’s world-renowned Club Fleet is composed of over 100 vessels that range from IC-24s to SUPs. The fleet ensures everyone from experts to beginners can enjoy an exciting on-the-water experience. Our global crew is always on hand to advise on vessels and provide instruction for a safe outing. Full access to our Club Fleet is included with every Full American Plan stay. Club Fleet includes:

Hobie Wave

The perfect boat for beginners, families and kids. Also great for seasoned sailors who would enjoy skimming across the North Sound.

Hobie Getaway

A performance catamaran that can accommodate two to six sailors. Comes complete with two trampolines and a trapeze.


A true challenge for the intermediate or advanced solo sailor. Guests may sample various sail sizes, including (on special request) the junior and intermediate-friendly Radial and 4.7 rigs. Laser sailors can test their skills each Sunday afternoon in our exciting weekly regatta.

C420s & Z420s

Laser Performance models with trapezes and spinnakers. The world’s most popular performance, double-handed training boat for juniors and adults. Ideal for off-season interscholastic and intercollegiate training.

Rhodes 19

The staple of our sailing school program. This sloop rigged keelboat is ideal for one or two couples exploring the Sound on an afternoon sail.

LP Bahia

Provides thrills commensurate with its sportboat heritage. A quick and easy learn for novices thanks to a large cockpit and simple controls. Can be sailed by two, or a family of four.


The undisputed standard for performance keelboats–Modified J-24s. Each requires at least two experienced sailors, although four or five will be comfortable. Pro Am Regatta guests and pros agree that these boats are exciting racers.

Optimist Dinghy

The most popular junior training sailboat, bar none. Lively little boats from Zim and Laser Performance. Fun for juniors from ages 8-14 years old. Used in the Junior Summer Sailing Course at the Bitter End Sailing School.


The perfect transitional boat for those looking to step up to Lasers. Stable and comfortable for two, yet sporty enough to keep a singlehanded sailor engaged.


The perfect introductory boat. Stable, self-bailing and fun. An alternative to Optimists that’s ideal for non-racing sailors and novices wanting to get their feet wet.

Open BICs

Small, high-performance boats. A great way for experienced young sailors to get the feel of fast sailing.  Recommended for intermediate to advanced junior sailors.

Boston Whalers

11-foot “u-drive-it” motorboats perfect for picnicking, exploring secluded beaches, snorkeling or fishing the flats around North and Eustatia Sounds.

Hobie Kayaks

Tandem and single Hobie Lanai and Kona kayaks that are great for a leisurely paddle. Pick up a picnic lunch from Watersports and take off to explore the many small islands that ring the North Sound.

BIC Stand Up Paddleboards

Great fun on light wind days. Venture into shallow coves and explore North Sound & Eustatia Sound. And get a great workout while doing so. We offer 11.4’ and 10.4’ paddleboards with carbon paddles.
